The only fish to have naturally colonized the pond are Three-spined Stickleback. These would most probably have arrived as eggs on the feet of Mallards or on plants. Some small ornamental carp species were dumped in the pond in 1998 but these were fortunately soon eaten by the local Grey Heron.
